Where to start if you've lost the passion for your business

Where to start if youve lost the passion for your business - Futrli

Is frustration fighting your happiness?

Being passionate is a subjective experience, with no real empirical measure, it’s something that most people just feel their gut’. We are privileged to speak to many business leaders about their challenges and successes. One thing that’s become apparent through conversations, regardless of the timezone they are in, or what stage of business, is the familiar feeling of trying to run in quicksand.

The feeling they are referencing is best described as frustration. They don’t feel on top of any aspect of the business or where to prioritise their time so they are unable to identify what the real challenges are or lead others with confidence.

Add to that admin, school runs, a friend’s wedding and suddenly life is running you…and you certainly can’t be passionate about that.

Is a lack of success draining the love of what you do?

It was also apparent that with those we spoke with who did feel passionate, related this to their success. Oliver Embe the Oemotions all serve a purpose.passion serves to concentrate our efforts on that which rewards us the most. That increase in concentration augments one’s skill level, leading to greater success, which in turn drives feelings of passion, feeding into the cycle again.

So if you’re not feeling passionate, what are you going to do about it?  reluctant to make changes, preferring to just wait and see if things improve, in mind Einstein’s definition of insanity…
