About the role
To enable us to service our clients across Australia we are looking for Business Development Executives to operate remotely. You can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide.
Whilst we have many distribution channels, this role is for our most established accounting channel. You will support our experience Business Development Managers in delivering new business revenue to Futrli by building and nurturing relationships from prospective customers within this channel. We have an existing database but the role is also self sourcing, using tools like LinkedIn to help identify prospect opportunities.
This is an ideal role if you are looking to make the move into SaaS software as you are joining a business at the bleeding edge of forecasting technology. Our SaaS products offer accountants and small businesses an invaluable, relevant solution that simply was not available before. The sales approach is a sophisticated combination of consultation, education and sales which you will learn whilst supporting our senior team.
As our products and services continue to grow, so will our sales strategies, so it is vital that you are hungry to learn and can adapt to an evolving marketplace. This is true consultative selling and we need individuals with the hunger to learn this way of delivering software solutions.

Since 2014 Futrli has been on a mission through technology to give every SME the opportunity to take control of their financial future. Dedicated R&D has evolved this mission into developing a new category: Prediction Software. Predict, the most recent addition to Futrli’s prediction platform is in-market. It is a completely new approach, technologically unbeatable, simple to deploy and scale. It is a vital tool for every accountant and small business owner.
Forecasting is core to all Futrli products, understanding and managing cash flow is vital to small business success. What we’re looking for;
Whilst we have experienced Business Development Managers and a Customer Success team based Sydney, our HQ is in Brighton, UK. You’ll therefore need to be comfortable working on your own, setting your own challenging pace and expect the occasional out of hours meetings. You will be fully trained and supported by the senior team.
To succeed in this SaaS sales role you need to be able to work in a fast paced, busy and energetic working environment. We’re looking for highly motivated, positive, driven high-performers who have a brilliant ‘can-do’ attitude and know how to get the best out of themselves. Due to the consultative approach the role requires, sales experience is vital.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- At least 1 years sales experience
- Experience with CRMs (Hubspot, Intercom preferable)
- Are comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- You take ownership & have a high level of accountability, but are comfortable building ideas collaboratively & taking feedback
- You are competitive (with yourself primarily) and hold yourself to high standards
- Accountancy or working with accountants would be a strong advantage
