Get the lowdown from our development team and find out what we’ve been working on. In this update, we introduce our new Video Cards and upgraded Text Cards allowing you to make your Dashboards more engaging.
Our product team have been hard at work laying the foundations for some major upgrades planned throughout this summer, but, we’re not quite ready to show you what we’ve been working on just yet!
In our last release, we introduced Presentation Mode for Dashboards. This gave you a powerful new way to present your reports. Think of it like a full-screen mode, allowing you to maintain the visual impact of an overview Dashboard.
Our Dashboards are designed to provide a clear view of the performance of your business, surfacing the answers you and your team need quickly. While we’ve had some lovely feedback on our recent updates, we’re always looking for more ways to improve.
So just what is new this March? Read on to find out about four new features we’ve introduced recently, and if you want to get involved with product feedback you can always reach out, I’d love to hear your ideas.
1. On-demand updates now available – video is live
Our customers use FUTRLI to automate their financial reporting to improve efficiency. They often do this because their time is better spent on improving their business, or they’re simply too busy maintaining their high flying business.
When we introduced our full-screen Presentation Mode, this put an end to the need for preparing static presentations and allowed you to host your meeting live and direct from the FUTRLI platform.
But it’s not always efficient or practical to meet in person or present the same information repeatedly. So, when it comes to delivering regular updates, why waste your time travelling for meetings or complicate the process by trying to organise online meetings? Wouldn’t it be so much easier to just stay in one place, your FUTRLI Dashboard, for the entire meeting?
Our new Video Cards introduce a whole new dynamic to interacting with your viewers. Now you can easily insert pre-recorded videos into your Dashboards to give your entire team an on-demand update when they’re ready to consume it. Any viewer, any location, any time zone, anytime. We support the three major video hosting platforms…
All you need to do is to add the video’s ID when creating a new Video Card. Of course, you don’t need to limit this to your own videos, you could share help and support content, customer case studies etc, that’s up to you.
2. Text Cards enhancements
While we’ve been looking for more ways to improve our Dashboards, we’ve upgraded our Text Cards to allow you to provide more emphasis on the information that matters.
When it comes to your annotation and storytelling, you’re no longer limited to bold, italic and underlined. There’s also a heap of other formatting options, you can add images, quotes and change the fonts too.
3. Simplified and supercharged: Search and Discover
We’ve made it easier and faster to locate what you’re looking for. Towards the end of 2016 we quietly replaced cumbersome dropdowns and long lists with a faster and more concise Super Search. There are some experts using FUTRLI that know exactly what they’re looking for, and our Super Search has become their best friend:
But sometimes you just don’t know what you’re looking for, or you want to make sure you’ve selected all your indirect expense accounts. We’ve extended our Super Search with a clear and fast ‘See All’ feature that gives you an overview of every option available for selection.
You can easily traverse down your Chart of Accounts to find just what you’re looking for!
4. Additional exporting options now available
There are even more options for exporting your Reports via our Cards or your Forecasts via Scenarios. Now you can export your data to Excel and preserve the same beautiful formatting.
That’s all for now – but we’ve got a LOT more to come over the next few months. If you’d like to send your feedback on these features, or get involved in the future of our platform then don’t be afraid to reach out and send us your feature wishlist!
