Every month we share what our development team have been working on to make FUTRLI even more powerful for you. This month, we needed a whole week to bring you up to speed. - 5minute read
Custom Account Grouping now live!
We’ve been working on this behind the scenes for a while and now it’s here. We’ve been using it in beta ourselves so we are thrilled to now share it with you. In summary, this allows you to ‘work clean’ and brings even more clarity to your financial intelligence.
View your Chart of Accounts exactly how you want to
You may remember that our June release gave you the ability to re-order your Chart of Accounts and we promised more coming soon. Well, this is it!
This has been one of our most requested features and it really couldn’t be any simpler. Once you’ve setup grouping in your Chart of Accounts you’ll be able to see and use them across FUTRLI for Forecasts and Reports.
How do you set them up?
Account Grouping is easy to setup. First, head over to your Organisation settings and take a look at the Chart of Accounts tab, select any number of accounts you want to add to a group and click the ‘Move/Group’ button. From here you can add to an existing group, or create a new one.
And now, we’ve got a more logical view of our expenses
For flexibility you can, of course, create Groups within Groups (and Groups within Groups within Groups)…you get the idea! These Groups, and sub-category Groups, can be set up in two ways. The second option is simple, just drag and drop accounts and groups in and out of each other until you’re happy. This can be changed on the fly and it will update everywhere within FUTRLI to reflect these changes. As always, we’ve worked hard to make sure this isn’t static so when it comes to your needs you won’t experience a ‘computer says no’ situation.
More improvements to design and useability
Simplifying our platform and making it more beautiful is something we are constantly working on. Account Grouping is supported throughout the vast selection of Card Types and Templates within FUTRLI. As a re-cap, these allow you to design a view of your data. Cards will now show all your Groups and you can expand and collapse these to get the perfect level of detail required on your numbers.
You can view the past, present or future within FUTRLI. If you want to look ahead and predict the future our Boards are the window into the Forecasts and Scenarios you have created in FUTRLI.
When you’re using future-focused Scenario data in Report or Comparison Cards, we realise it is important for you to understand where the number have come from. Now you can drill down and do just that, you don’t need to go back into the scenario – it’s all there, ready for you. We think of this as ‘open plan working’. Any Report or Comparison card that’s using Scenario data will show the forecasts as child rows to the accounts, as shown here…
That’s all for today so get stuck in and have a play and stay tuned for tomorrow.
If you need any help, we have all our documentation here, you can message us as always in-app or we can help to do this for you. Speak to the team to find out how.
I can’t end without saying, if you haven’t already, you’re missing out by not joining us…
